Day School Board Chairman - Term 2013-2015
As an alumni of Redeemer, Keri Rouen is proud to serve on the school board. She and her husband Noah are members of the church and have their oldest of three boys in the Pre-Kindergarten class. It was a natural choice for her to enroll their son at Redeemer because her childhood school continues to have the same Christian values, strong focus on excellent education, and teachers dedicated to sharing Christ's love with the children. She was impressed with the SMART program that the preschool, kindergarten, and first grade teachers use to encourage movement with learning. As a member of the school board she hopes to help build a strong community with Redeemer families and share the great benefits of a Christian education at Redeemer with new families.
Annette and her husband, Ross have 4 girls. Abbie is in 6th grade and Hailey is in 2nd grade and both started at Redeemer in preschool. Nadia and Isabelle are one year old twins and will be entering the preschool program in a couple of years. She believes that the loving family-like atmosphere is what sets Redeemer apart. She enjoys knowing that her children are surrounded by others who love them and are excited to see them learn and grow. This year she would like to help Redeemer find ways to spread this love to more families.
Kai and his wife Sharon have been members at Redeemer Church since 2005. They have three children at Redeemer School. The Kroll’s have been impressed with the staff since their oldest child began preschool. Kai’s two goals are to see growth in the school and a continuation of the excellent education offered at Redeemer. Kai has 20 years of experience in the medical device industry and is currently the President of Ionix Medical. Previous positions were at OncoStim (Ionix Medical), St. Croix Medical (Envoy Medical), Empi (DJO) and Angemed (Angeion). Kai serves on the boards of Ionix Medical, Galvani Ltd., and Meso-Flow. Kai holds 50 U.S. patents, BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering, and an MBA.
Mary Jo Jensen
Mary Jo and her husband, Eric have a second grader at Redeemer, who has been involved since kindergarten. Mary Jo strongly believes that it is extremely important to provide early teachings in strong spiritual values in a loving environment such as Redeemer. She enjoys seeing this displayed on a daily basis in the students of Redeemer School. The behaviors and morals displayed in these children is a testament to the strong teachings provided by the dedicated, caring teachers of Redeemer, and also sees first-hand the additional benefit her daughter receives from the low student to teacher ratio.
Ryan and his wife Vetta have four children, all of which have been or are members of the Redeemer Lutheran School family. The loving and compassionate staff along with the Christian teachings have been what has made this our school home for nearly 10 years. Ryan serves as the non-church member representative on the School Board. He also acts as the technology chair focusing on technology within the classroom. Ryan’s goals are to spread the good news on what an amazing place Redeemer is and support the teaching staff and students with the best resources and technology to help them achieve their best. Professionally, Ryan leads Retail Lab, a Minneapolis based consultancy focused on local retailers and the manufacturers they work with.
Carol, her husband Paul, and family have been members of Redeemer Lutheran Church since 1999. As recent empty-nesters, they still live in their Plymouth home of 22 years and have three sons.
Their oldest son Marc, married Redeemer alumni Ann Swanlund, and have provided them with two grandsons, Noah (4) and Jameson (16 months).
Their other two sons Dan (20) and Nate (18) are graduates of Redeemer Lutheran School, and now attend the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
Carol believes that the strong education and biblical teaching at Redeemer Lutheran School provided a solid, grounded and Christ-centered foundation for her sons. She believes that Christian education, and specifically Redeemer Lutheran School's offerings, prepares students to be disciples of Christ. She has witnessed first hand that early development of spiritual, intellectual and social skills in a Christ-centered environment strongly influences a child's motivation to live a Christian life and serve their Savior.
