  • Spotlight: Top ACT Score!

Redeemer Lutheran School Student Achieves Top ACT Score

Benjamin Quiram, son of Jeff and Jodi Quiram, and a junior at Mayer Lutheran High School, earned a top composite score of 36 on a recent ACT test. Nationally, on average, less than one-tenth of 1 percent of students who take the ACT earns the top score. Among test takers in the high school graduating class of 2014, only 1,407 of nearly 1.85 million students earned a composite score of 36.

“I thought I did pretty well on the test,” explained Quiram, “But I was a bit surprised when I saw that my composite was a 36.”

“We expected that Ben would post a respectable score even though he was taking the test early in his junior year and didn’t do any preparatory work before the exam. We honestly thought that this first attempt would provide a baseline to then improve upon. Ben is very happy with the score,” added Ben’s mother, Jodi. “We are so pleased that he was able to do so well and are very proud of the hard work he has put into his education through the years.”

Ben attended Redeemer Lutheran School from kindergarten through eighth grade, and was an outstanding student during those years.
